One of the things we all love about a fireplace is that it can invoke a warm and fuzzy emotion. It’s a place inside the house where people gather.
Large families will sit around the fire and tell stories while watching TV, playing games, or having a good laugh during the holiday.
Unique Fireplace Designs
A fireplace is functional and a huge part of a home’s design. It can be in the main living room, bedroom, or dining room.
No matter where you have the fireplace, it will surely bring everyone together in the home.
Let’s review a few fireplace designs we have encountered in this post.
These designs range from dark and moody to modern and conventional. All these fireplaces stand out and are crucial to the design of each home.
The Dark Slate Fireplace
The first designs feature a herringbone wooden floor, and the central fireplace is dark slate adorned with a large wood mantle.
The mantle is made of live wood, so it is very textured. It is light-colored and blends very well with the ceiling beams, even though the fireplace is dark slate.
It’s still matched with simple candle lighting and abstract paintings that give the fireplace design a little life and color.
The width of the fireplace plays a huge part in the design. In some of these, the fireplace is over 4 feet wide, and it commands a presence within the room design.
One of my favorite parts of this fireplace design is the herringbone wood patterns. The pattern draws your attention, pointing directly to the walls and the fireplace.
The Horse Fireplace
The next fireplace design still features the same wooden herringbone pattern on the floor, but the fireplace is actually white marble, light gray, and silver.
Each design features a wood mantle at the top of each fireplace. Above the mantle are horse paintings that feel abstract in nature.
They give the room and design a sense of mood, tapping off the rest of the fireplace or candle lights spread across the mantle.
Gothic-style Fireplace
For this next set, we look at a more Gothic-style fireplace, more ornate in nature and design. The fireplace’s base is made of wood.
The old mantle wood features ornate designs cut directly into the wood. Each fireplace features a wood mantle and stone hearth at the bottom of the design.
Small and large candles are placed along the mantle. A large painting hangs above the mantle.
Stone Fireplace
The last set of fireplace designs features more of a stone material fireplace design. The floor still features a herringbone wood pattern.
The main focal point of the fireplace is the stone-washed color design. Like previous fireplace designs, each one is domed with a large abstract painting hanging above the metal.
Each fireplace has a unique look. One features greenery along the bottom and mantle edge. One is minimal, with only one or two candles on the mantle.
The herringbone pattern is set within the chimney area for this last set. Each fireplace features a large, oversized wood mantel.
Candles and small home accessories are placed around each design area to emphasize the scale of the fireplace within the home.
Unique and Beautiful Designs
All these designs are beautiful. Each has a unique look, and the designer has added beautiful final touches that help make the fireplace a bigger part of the home.
Overall, each fireplace adds unique character and ambiance to each room. Some offer a large focal point, while others are more subdued.
We know the homeowners cherish each of these fireplace designs, and we hope you enjoyed the inspiration.
